My love of events began while working at my father’s party store, blowing up balloons and giving my opinion on the party favors kids liked best. My parents taught me how to appreciate and create beauty, so I made the decision to major in fashion design. After four years of college, three internships with top designers and one job as a design assistant, I realized that my obsession for food and wine, incessant need to plan parties and adoration for all things crafty was only growing stronger.
I left the world of fashion for a position with a Manhattan-based nightlife company where I was responsible for the creative development and execution of 100+ special events annually throughout three major US cities. The opportunity later presented itself to meld my love of fashion and event design, and I became the sole event manager in the US market for a luxury Italian fashion house. From large scale fashion shows to intimate client dinners, I executed high profile events that reinforced the quality and leading position of the brand. After almost a decade in the corporate world, I was eager to further explore my creativity and challenge myself to develop new ideas and event concepts. Love led me to Connecticut to live with my fiancé and luck led me to A Polished Plan and the opportunity to build relationships with clients and translate their lifestyles into dynamic, personal experiences!
